Guest Information - What to expect when visiting us

Whether you are visiting for the first time, returning to church after awhile or perhaps you are new to our community and looking for a new church home.  Whatever your situation, you probably have a lot of questions before you visit Adventist Fellowship.

We would like to try to answer as many of your questions as possible before you arrive.  Here is our best guess of some of the questions you may have.  If we missed something, please send us an email with your questions and we will try to answer for you.

When are your services?
Our worship services are on Saturdays. Here is our typical Saturday schedule.

9:00am Breakfast Fellowship
We offer a free breakfast for anyone who would like to join us.  We know getting the family up and ready for church can be challenging under the best of circumstances, so why not leave the cooking to us?

9:45am Bible Study and Children's Classes
We offer Bible study classes for collegiate aged adults and up.  There are several classes to choose from and our Guest Services Volunteers will be happy to recommend one to you. We also have special classes for children and youth   of all ages.

9:45am Traditional Worship
Our first worship service runs at the same time as our Bible study classes.  This is very convenient for parents who may want to attend worship without having to worry about their children.  The service includes more traditional worship elements including hymns and is one hour in length. If you prefer a smaller crowd, this service is much smaller in size (50 to 75 people) than our second service.

11:00am Praise and Worship
This is our main worship service.  It is longer in length and includes more contemporary elements including the music.  This is the service where we celebrate baptisms, child dedications and other family life activities.

12:30am Fellowship Lunch
Following our worship service you are invited to join us for a special lunch.  Immediately following the service, people can make their way to the serving room where we can serve hundreds within just a few minutes.  Our hope is that if you are visiting, you will plan to stay and enjoy the food and fellowship.

Other Activities
Depending on the week, there are unusually other activities scheduled in the afternoon.  This could include a Bible study, prayer group, health presentation or an outreach event.  You are welcome to attend any or all of these.

What should I wear?
You are welcome whatever you choose to wear.

The people who attend our service come from all walks of life; therefore it is hard to be specific.

For gentlemen, the dress will range from jeans and a tee shirt to a suit. Most guys will wear a polo shirt and dockers.
For the ladies, the dress also ranges from jeans to a dress.  Most of the ladies will either be wearing a dress or slacks.

Is there anything for my children?
Yes, lots.  There are a large number of children and young people who attend our services on Saturday.  From our Bible study time through our worship service, we try to remember the needs of our young people.

More specifically during our main worship service, we offer...
Childcare for the children under age 5
Children's Church is available for ages 5 to 10.  This is a service designed specifically for them.
Quiet buckets which contain some activities for children who wish to remain in the auditorium.
A parents room for infants with closed circut television. There is also a private nursing area.

Every week we offer a lunch immediatey following our second service.

Is there plenty of parking?
Yes.  Our parking lot is adjacent to our building and has ample room for your vehicle.  Even if you can't park up close, we have golf carts that will meet you at your car and take you to the front door.

I have never attended a church that worships on Saturday. What is it like?
Much of what you might have experienced in a church that worships on Sunday, you will experience during your visit with us.  Many things might be similar, but since the Bible says that the Sabbath is special, we believe you will notice the difference.

Have a question we didn't think of? Ask us and we will be happy to answer it.
