Our Promise
At Adventist Fellowship nothing is more important to us than you having absolute confidence that your tithes and offerings are handled properly. We take every precaution to make sure that every gift we receive is used exactly as the donor intended. We also safeguard all donor and contribution information to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
Adventist churches handle their donations differently from most other churches because they make a distinction between tithe and offerings.
Tithe
The Bible teaches that every believer should return one tenth of their "increase" to the Lord as a tithe. The scriptures state that the tithe is holy and should be used to support the ministry. In the Adventist church all tithe is forwarded to a higher organization who uses these funds to pay the salaries of their pastors.
Offerings
Anything more than a tenth that a person gives is considered an offering. For those wishing to support the local ministries of our church, they are encouraged to donate funds to the church budget. The church budget provides funding to all local ministries as well as general expenses based on a budget that is voted by our church family once each year.
How to Make a Donation
There are several ways to way a contribution to the Lord’s work through our church.
During the Offering
First and most common is placing your gift in the offering container during one of our services. Most people will place their gift in an offering envelope, conveniently located in the seat back pockets of each chair. We accept cash, checks and credit card giving when it is placed in the offering container.
Donation Box
The second most common way of making a contribution is placing your gift in the donation box located just to the left of the main doors into our auditorium. You may place a donation in this box anytime on Sabbath or even during the week. This is especial helpful if you happen to be out of the auditorium on Sabbath when the offering is received.
Online Donations
A growing number of people are making donations to our church through our website using AdventistGiving. This is a safe and convienant way to be able to make a donation 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Through AdventistGiving you can give through an electronic check, debit card or credit card.
Online Bill Payment
Many banks now offer their customers free online bill payments. You can have your bank deduct the funds from your checking or savings account and send a check directly to our church. In the memo area of the check, just let us know how you want your donation used.
Mailing Your Gift
If you prefer, you are always welcome to mail your gift directly to the church office. You may place your gift in a tithe envelope or simply indicate on the check how it is to be used. Our mailing address is Adventist Fellowship 15303 E 21 Street Tulsa, OK 74134.
